Draft — last updated September 25, 2026. These are plain-language terms written from how browsertodo works today. They are not legal advice and not yet a reviewed legal agreement.

What browsertodo is

browsertodo is a Chrome extension, with an optional local helper, that uses an AI model to carry out tasks in your own browser. It can be used on its own with your own Claude Code subscription or Claude API key, or with the hosted service at app.browsertodo.com (browsertodo AI, the cloud TODO list, API keys and voice input).

The open-source software

The extension and the local helper are open source under the MIT license. That license, not this page, governs your use of the code, and it comes without any warranty.

You're in charge of what it does

• browsertodo acts in your browser, in accounts you are signed in to, on your instructions. What it posts, sends or submits is done as you, and you're responsible for it.
• AI models make mistakes. Check important work, and use tasks that stop before anything you can't undo, like a payment.
• Automating a website may break that site's rules. Check the terms of any site you use it on.
• Don't use browsertodo for spam, harassment, fraud, getting around security measures, or anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do.

Plans and usage credit

• Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew until you cancel. Cancel from the dashboard; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Each plan's monthly usage credit is granted at the start of the billing period and doesn't carry over.
• Top-ups are one-time purchases of usage credit. They never expire.
• browsertodo AI and voice input are charged from your usage credit: browsertodo AI at the AI provider's price plus 30%. When your credit runs out, hosted AI stops until you top up or your plan renews. Your own Claude keeps working.
• Prices are in US dollars and shown on the homepage and in the dashboard.

Other services involved

The hosted service relies on Anthropic (Claude), TypeSafe (Jev), Cloudflare (hosting and voice transcription), Stripe (payments) and Google (sign-in). The privacy page says what each of them receives.

No warranty

browsertodo is provided as is. We don't promise it will be available at all times, work on every site, or be free of errors, and to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for losses that come from using it.
